Dr. Jennifer Yao is a Clinical Associate Professor and Head of the UBC Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She obtained her medical degree from UBC and completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2002. Dr. Yao is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is also the current Chair of the Specialty Committee in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Royal College. She has special interest in medical education and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. She is actively involved with teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at UBC. Her research interests are focused on stroke and brain injury rehabilitation.
